Practicing Gratitude
-
Students at Westernport Elementary School are practicing gratitude and ways to spread positivity by creating gratitude pumpkins for Thanksgiving. Each classroom received and read the book "Gratitude is My Superpower" by Alicia Ortego. Teachers then led discussions about expressing gratitude and sharing what they are thankful for in their lives. Students either shared what they are thankful for or wrote them on their pumpkins. The pumpkins were then turned into turkeys for a Thanksgiving display.
