Beall Buddies

Once a month, younger students are partnered with older students to participate in various activities. This month, Buddy groups at Beall particpated in a variety of agricultural activities led by a representative from the Western Maryland 4-H Center. Students are paired as follows: Grades K and 3rd; Grades 1 and 4; and Grades 2 and 5.

Fire Prevention Month

October is Fire Prevention Month. The Frostburg Fire and Rescue recently visited Beall Elementary School to talk to the students about fire safety and to teach them ways to ensure that their homes and families are prepared in the event of an emergency.

National Farmer’s Day is celebrated on October 12th as a way to offer praise to the hard-working farmers across the nation. Beall Elementary School students, as just one of the many agricultural science lessons they conducted in October, had a visit from two cows owned by third grade teacher, Michelle Deatelhauser.
