Veterans Day Celebration 2022
-
On Friday, November 11, 2022, Cresaptown Elementary School hosted nearly 60 veterans who were family members of students for a Veterans Day celebration. Coordinated by music teacher, Kelsey Shreve, with assistance from art teacher, Marne Troutman, Cresaptown students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade had the opportunity to perform patriotic songs, recite poems, and create thank you cards for local veterans. Cresaptown principal, Mr. Scott Llewellyn, opened the program by welcoming the honored guests and thanking them for their sacrifices and service to our country. Mr. Llewellyn noted that it is important for students to be in school on this holiday so that they have the opportunity to learn what Veterans Day is and why it is celebrated annually on November 11th.
