Cumberland Theatre is thrilled to announce their plans to host a musical theatre camp for youth performers. The camp is being offered to local children ages 9-15 years old and will focus on all aspects of theatre including performance and technical elements. Several specialized workshops will also be offered.
Dates for the camp are June 19-July1. Musical theatre camp will run for two weeks, Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:30pm. Students will be asked to pack their own lunch. A refrigerator is available for keeping items cold.
The camp will finish with a performance showcase for parents and friends of the students followed by a short intermission after which a performance of the musical SEUSSICAL JR will be performed for the public. A more detailed schedule is available online at www.cumberlandtheatre.com.

Frostburg State University's AmeriCorps "Read to Succeed" program is available to students in kindergarten to 8th grade. Volunteers from the university community provide students with free reading/math tutoring, homework assistance, social skills and task skill development and assistance in other academic enrichment areas every week.
There is an open-door policy throughout each semester. Program updates and cancellations will be posted on that page as well. The Frostburg State University sessions are Monday through Thursday from 5pm-7pm.
