  • Welcome to Parkside Elementary School. Our staff, students, PTA, and families work together as a learning community to assure that every child is successful. Please feel free to stop in and visit us.
     
    VISION STATEMENT:
    Parkside School believes in the importance of forming a strong partnership with parents and community members in order to positively impact the students in our school.  To promote effective parent involvement, the staff works together collaboratively with one another and welcomes and encourages parents and community members to join us in the educational program.  
     
    MISSION STATEMENT: 
    The Parkside Elementary School faculty and staff believe that all students can grow intellectually, personally, socially, and physically.  We believe that each of these dimensions is equally important to the total well being of the individual.  Together with parents and other partnerships, it is our goal to focus attention on each of these areas in order for every student to become a responsible and productive citizen.

    On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, area credit unions from Allegany County and the Western Maryland Chapter and District of Columbia Credit Union Association, along with the Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association, hosted the 15th Semi-Annual Financial Reality Fair for area high school students.

    Interim Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Jeffrey Blank, has announced that Scott Bauer, teacher at Allegany High School, will assume the vacant position of Assistant Principal at Washington Middle School in an interim capacity through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

  • Visitor Management System

    Parkside School is now using the Raptor Technologies Visitor Management System to track visitors to the building.  The new system requires visitors to show a valid photo ID upon checking in at the main office.  Raptor instantly screens guests against the national sex offender registry as well as Aspen for any custody issues.
