Allegany: The American High School Experience
-
"Allegany: The American High School Experience" will be on display at the Allegany Museum, 3 Pershing Street, Cumberland, July 2-30, 2022. The Allegany Museum will host the work of this year's Historical Research Methods students at Allegany under the direction of teacher, Brian White. The exhibit will feature the history of Allegany High School from 1888 through the present.
A feature part of this exhibit will be an exact replica of the Sedgwick Street location created entirely out of legos. Historical preservation is the goal of historical research methods students at Allegany High School. As the Sedgwick street location comes down, students have worked hard to preserve the history of Allegany High School.
Lego construction, research and writing, graphic design, quilting, and more! Allegany’s historical research methods students are hard at work everyday for this exhibition, so be sure to mark your calendars for July!
