    Welcome.     ACPS recently sent a survey to parents and guardians to gather information from them regarding their preference of hybrid and fully virtual models of instruction being considered for the 2020-2021 school year.

  • School Board Votes to Open Schools Online Beginning September 8th

    The Allegany County Board of Education voted to start the 2020-2021 school year virtually, utilizing a new learning management platform that will offer learning opportunities that can very closely mirror face-to-face instruction.

  • Maryland Green School Program Grows to 656 Schools

    The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) announced the number of Maryland Green Schools grew to 656 during the 2019-2020 academic year, representing 30% of all schools in the state and an addition of 46 new schools.

    The mission of South Penn Elementary School is to strive to inspire a passion for learning. Our school community will work collaboratively to ensure that the needed skills and knowledge are provided so that ALL students can achieve personal success in their learning, become responsible productive citizens and reach their individual life goals.
