Mountain Ridge High School is currently in its third year of tutoring and has 20 plus students actively tutoring. Many of the tutoring sessions are conducted in person, while some are virtual sessions.  All of the students taking advantage of this opportunity have successfully gone up a letter grade in the class they were struggling with since participating in the tutoring program. According to the tutoring program coordinator, Holly Itzo, "Each year, I have handfuls of students who were able to pass their classes for the year due directly to tutoring. It is a wonderful opportunity!"
