        • Spotlight on Our Schools

          With 22 schools across Allegany County—14 elementary, 4 middle, 3 high schools, plus a technical center and alternative program—there's a lot of good happening every single day. Our dedicated teachers are making a real difference in students' lives, and we want you to see it for yourself.

          In January 2026, we'll relaunch our spotlight on different schools to share their wins, innovative programs, and the moments that make us proud. These featured stories give you an inside look at the creative teaching, student achievements, and community partnerships that make our schools special!

        Vision and Mission of ACPS

        • ACPS Vision Statement: To support all students in reaching their potential by providing a positive, safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
           
          ACPS Mission Statement: To ensure that students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes supporting them in becoming caring and productive members of their community. 
           

        Resources for Unhoused Students and Families

        • The McKinney-Vento Program removes barriers for students and families experiencing homelessness throughout Allegany County. Our program assists in academic achievement, technology skills, college preparation, and job skills training.
