ARP ESSER III Fund
-
In 2020 and 2021, Congress passed three stimulus bills that provided nearly $190.5 billion to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. ACPS was awarded $25.347 million from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund that was part of the American Rescue Plan Act. This is the third ESSER grant that ACPS has received from the Federal Government to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, this third grant is known as ESSER III. The ESSER III grant application, supporting budget narrative, and Form C-125 that reflects the budget for the grant by state category and object of expense can be found following links below. In addition, the links include the Notice of Grant Award from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The notice of grant award reflects $16.881 million of the $25.347 million awarded to ACPS because MSDE is required to submit a plan to the U.S. Department of Education before the remaining funding is released to ACPS. It is important to note that these documents reflect the original application submitted by ACPS. Changes that ACPS may need to make in the original grant submission are part of the grant amendment process with MSDE.
