Distribution of Information

  • We know families want to stay informed about what's happening in schools and around Allegany County. At the same time, we need to make sure our teachers and staff can focus on what matters most—educating students.

That's why we've created a simple system for sharing community information that works for everyone.

    How We Share Community Information

Allegany County Public Schools uses Peachjar, an electronic flyer system that's better for the environment and easier for families. Instead of sending home stacks of paper flyers, approved materials from community organizations are sent directly to your email and posted on school websites.

    This means:

    • Less paper waste
    • Information delivered right to your inbox
    • Easy access to flyers anytime on your school's website
    • More time for teachers to teach

    What Gets Shared

We welcome information about community activities and events that benefit students and families. When we approve a flyer for distribution, it doesn't mean the school system endorses the organization or event—we're simply providing a helpful service to keep our community connected.

    Working Together

Strong schools need strong community partnerships. By collaborating with local organizations, we can better support students and achieve our mission of providing excellent education for every child in Allegany County.
