John Humbird Elementary School

Jeannette Milburn was destined to become a teacher. Her passion for this profession has only grown throughout her career. She received her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in STEM from Frostburg State University in 2021. Jeannette also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from FSU (2011). She is currently a 5^th grade teacher in an Active Learning Lab at John Humbird. Jeannette has served on numerous committees at her school, including the school improvement team, PBIS team, and the instructional consultation team. Her passion for integrating technology led her to initiate the first ELL Robotics team at John Humbird where students in grades four and five can begin to build on their 21^st century skills. Jeannette’s excitement for her profession is so obvious that students and colleagues alike are excited about learning!
