McDonald Named “Acting” Assistant Principal in Administrative Updates

Allegany County Public Schools announces Ms. Pam McDonald as the “Acting” Assistant Principal at Allegany High School.

Ms. McDonald has devoted the past 20 years of her career to teaching Social Studies in ACPS. Over the years, she has taught at Westmar High School, CCTE, and most recently, Allegany High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Studies, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Post Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership from Frostburg State University. McDonald will be holding the “Acting” Assistant Principal position through the end of the 2024-2025 academic school year.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the staff and students of Allegany High School in an administrative role. During my time at Allegany High School, I have been truly impressed by the outstanding efforts of the school community to cultivate a positive and thriving environment.”

Ms. McDonald is temporarily filling the vacant assistant principal position, due to the promotion of Mr. Charles Moran, effective February 18, 2025.
