Middle School 2024 Summer School Programs

  • Allegany County Public Schools will host a thematic, hands-on, camp-like experience during the months of June and July 2024.  All middle school students and secondary students with disabilities (including incoming sixth graders) may participate in the camp.

Camp hours will be Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm.  Breakfast and lunch will be served and transportation will be provided.  In some cases, regional bus stops may be offered.

This year’s summer program activities will focus on the following thematic units: Carnival Week, Dinosaurs, CSI, Super Heroes, Winter in July, and Summer Olympics.  Many engaging and hands-on activities (both indoors and outdoors) are planned for students to actively engage in learning and fun!  Field trips are planned to support thematic units.  In order to provide the most well-rounded experience for students, the summer program is staffed with general and special educators, instructional assistants, school counselors and mental health specialists, behavior specialists, administrators, and supervisors.

School Therapy Service staff and other related service personnel will be available to support all student activities.
