The operations department is responsible for providing services, materials, and supplies necessary for the daily operations in all facilities maintained by the school system.  This department operates the delivery services, manages the custodial staff and services, and ensures that the proper supplies and materials exist to provide safe and orderly school environments.  This department also works cooperatively with the schools to ensure that Maryland's Pesticide Management procedures are carried out in an appropriate manner. 

 

This department coordinates the purchase of new and replacement furniture and maintenance equipment.  In addition, the operations department provides the routine maintenance of the outside grounds by providing grass cutting and snow removal services.  

 

The Operations Department also coordinates the sale of used equipment and supplies on Gov Deals, and also, the county recycling program for electronics, cardboard, paper and phone book collection.
