Terri Simpson-Offutt, School Counselor 

Each elementary school in Allegany County has a full-time school counselor. They are a team of educated professionals who follow MSDE’s goals and objectives for school counseling programs. The main goals direct counselors to facilitate the development of students' academic growth, career decision-making and interpersonal/ social skills. To achieve these goals, counselors work with students individually, in small groups and in the classroom setting. School Counselors also consult with teachers, parents, administrators and other support staff. They coordinate programs, are members of various committees and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
