Nick Amick
Mr. Nick Amick is a former student of Allegany High School, graduating in 2010 after serving as the vice president of Allegany Drama Club and a member of the National Honor Society. Following high school, he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Frostburg State University and taught English at Westmar Middle School. Now, back at his alma mater, Mr. Amick teaches English 1 and Journalism; he also serves as the advisor for the Allegany Student Government. Most notably, in 2021-2022, Mr. Amick was honored as the Allegany County Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Amick and his significant other, Karly, live locally with his daughter, two cats, and his sidekick, a Pekingese pup named Bam-Bam. In his spare time, he enjoys going to concerts, collecting vinyl records, and trying to convince his dog not to be scared of every single thing on Earth.
