ACPS will allow a total of three “traditional” closures in the event of inclement weather. Announcements regarding school closures come from the Office of Public Information and will be posted on the school system’s website, the ACPS Facebook and Twitter pages, and sent out via the Blackboard mass notification system. This information will also be sent to all local media outlets to publicize. During a virtual learning inclement weather day, K-12 students will have four hours of synchronous learning (learning with a teacher(s) in real time) through the Schoology platform with their teachers, as well as time in the afternoon for asynchronous learning (login to Schoology to obtain assignments, videos, etc.). Attendance will be taken on virtual learning days.
