    2023-2024

     

    President

     

    As the Allegany High School FBLA Chapter’s President I will model the best practices of leadership. I will lead the group in a direction consistent with the group's charter and overall mission objective outlined by FBLA’s National leaders. I will represent the chapter at special functions. I will conduct the chapters' general assemblies unless otherwise incapable, in which case the Vice President will assume the responsibility. I will keep members and discussion on track during meetings. I will oversee the operation of all committees and act as the tie-breaking vote when necessary. I will assist with community engagement as a secondary point-of-contact for service and social projects. I will lead the development of strategic goals for the chapter during Executive Committee meetings and report the chapter’s position during general assemblies (GA). I reserve the right to call a special meeting, as necessary, following the guidelines set forth by the Ethics Committee. Lastly, these responsibilities are subject to change based on the chapter’s needs year-to-year, and will be updated each Fall with the help of the chapter’s primary advisor and the Executive Committee.

    Vice President

     

    As the Allegany High School FBLA Chapter’s Vice President I will assist the president with operational needs of the organization. I will preside over meetings in the absence of the president. I will take charge of preparing the Local Chapter Annual Business Report with the assistance of the Secretary and Parliamentarian. I will assist the Membership Development Chairperson with recruiting and retention efforts. Lastly, these responsibilities are subject to change based on the chapter’s needs year-to-year, and will be updated each Fall with the help of the chapter’s primary advisor and the executive committee.

    Treasurer

     

    As the Allegany High School FBLA Chapter’s Treasurer I will keep accurate, up-to-date financial records. I will prepare and present a treasurer’s report for each meeting. I will function as the Fundraising Committee Chairperson with a co-chair to help drive critical decision-making with sound financial planning. I will approve all funding and fundraiser requests from committees before a final vote may occur. I will develop a budgeting strategy for the chapter to continue growing FBLA’s capacity over time. I will implement chapter goals through financial means set forth by the Executive Committee and its serving committees. I will be subject to an annual audit each spring by the Ethics Committee led by the Parliamentarian. Lastly, these responsibilities are subject to change based on the chapter’s needs year-to-year, and will be updated each Fall with the help of the chapter’s primary advisor and the Executive Committee.

I will prepare the chapter Program of Work (with collaboration from all executive officers). I will count and record all votes. I will be responsible for recording attendance each meeting in FBLA Connect, unless otherwise designated by the chapter’s primary advisor. Lastly, these responsibilities are subject to change based on the chapter’s needs year-to-year, and will be updated each Fall with the help of the chapter’s primary advisor and the Executive Committee.

     

    • I will provide an agenda before each General Assembly.

    As the Allegany High School FBLA Chapter’s Parliamentarian I will uphold the procedural order of all meeting types (general assembly, committee meetings, etc). I will remain current and up-to-date with procedural changes to Robert’s Rules of Order, and that meetings follow the same format. I will familiarize myself with the key responsibilities of my fellow officers so that in their absence I can keep the flow of meetings consistent from week-to-week.I will assimilate and manage pictorial evidence of Chapter events, social and service related on all AHS social media accounts for the promotion and preservation of Chapter history. Lastly, these responsibilities are subject to change based on the Chapter’s needs year-to-year, and will be updated each Fall with the help of the Chapter’s primary advisor and the executive committee.

     

    • I will uphold the procedural order of all meeting types (general assembly, committee meetings, etc).
