Allegany County Public Schools announces Roy DeVore Jr. as the “Acting” Assistant Principal at Fort Hill High School.

DeVore began his career at ACPS in 2015. Since then, he has taught Technology Education and Computer Science at Fort Hill High School. He has also served as the Fort Hill Athletic Director for the last 3 years. DeVore will be holding the “Acting” Assistant Principal position through the end of the 2023-2024 academic school year.

“I am excited to work in this new role for the staff, students, and community of Fort Hill,” says DeVore.

DeVore is temporarily filling the vacant assistant principal position left by Chris Cassell, who is now serving as Supervisor of Human Resources. Glenn Rice, former Supervisor of Human Resources, was appointed to Director of Human Resources upon the retirement of Steven Wilson, effective January 1, 2024.
