    The Maryland State Department of Education will allow local school districts to utilize up to eight (8) days of virtual learning this school year. In Allegany County Public Schools, those alloted days will be used as inclement weather days.

  • WTCI/Egyptian Delegation visit Allegany County Public Schools

    On Friday, July 15, 2022, staff from the Allegany County Public Schools gave a presentation on the Active Learning Labs (ALL) initiative, the Gradual Release of Responsibility integrated with the guidelines of Universal Design for Learning (GRRUDL) model, and how technology is integrated into instruction within our classrooms.

  • CCTE Graduates Compete in National Skills Competition

    The annual National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC), a showcase of career and technical education students, was held in Georgia in June, and five recent graduates of the Career Center had the opportunity to compete against more than 6,500 other career and technical education students, all of whom were state contest winners.

    Bel Air School is committed to the belief that all students must experience success in order to develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually. All students are unique individuals who possess a variety of skills and needs and through successful learning experiences will develop into productive and responsible citizens. This commitment for all students to be successful is based on the premise that all students can learn and that learning is a life-long process. The educational process includes the fostering of a positive home/school environment, and involves students in a variety of instructional techniques and activities that will ensure academic success as staff members participate in job-embedded professional development. The staff at Bel Air embraces the value of a college and career readiness education and considers it vital to all students thriving in a global economy.
