  • Cash Valley Elementary School Recognized as 2020 National Blue Ribbon School

    On Thursday, September 24, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, announced that Cash Valley Elementary School was among 367 schools nationwide being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2020.

  • MARYLAND STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PROVIDES $10 MILLION IN GRANT FUNDING TO SUPPORT IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION THIS FALL

    As a result of improved health metrics throughout the State, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is encouraging in-person instruction and providing $10 million in grant awards to support Maryland schools that reopen to students this fall.

    Allegany County Public Schools plans to return to extracurricular activities as the school system safely returns students to small group in-person learning.

  • ACPS will Still Open Fully Virtual on September 8th

    With the new guidelines provided August 27, 2020, ACPS will still open fully virtual on September 8, 2020, for student learning while continuing preparations in accordance with our submitted plan that allows for small cohorts/groups of students to receive some in-school learning.

    Fort Hill High School social studies teacher, Mark Malone, was one of only 98 teachers selected for a National History Day summer professional development program.

  • Fort Hill High School Names New Head Football Coach

    A selection committee comprised of both ACPS faculty and administrators and several community members have unanimously chosen Zach Alkire as the next head football coach at Fort Hill High School.

Our school community will work collaboratively to ensure that the needed skills and knowledge are provided so that ALL students can achieve personal success in their learning, become responsible productive citizens and reach their individual life goals.
