ACPS Students Shine at the 35th ACM Tri-State Mathematics Contest

ACPS 11th grade students captured the top team and individual honors at the 35th ACM Tri-State Mathematics Contest. Allegany High School Team 1 came in first place with Allegany student Bryce Bridges winning first place in the individual competition with a perfect score. Bryce’s perfect score is believed to be the first in the competition.

Additional ACPS recognitions in the team competition include Allegany High School Team 2 placing third and CCTE placing fourth. Individuals who placed in the Top 10 include: Jett Loar (Allegany) - 2nd; Anderson Guzman Pineda (Allegany) - 3rd; Jack Taylor (Allegany) - 5th; Nicholas Wilt (Allegany) - 7th; Nathan Fousek (CCTE) - 8th; and Sutton Smith (Allegany), Rishabh Patel (Allegany), and Micah Georgeson (Mountain Ridge) - finishing tied for 9th.

Seven Tri-State area high schools participated in the competition.
