Induction Ceremony of the Braddock Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society

Fifty-two 7th and 8th grade students are new members of the Braddock Middle School Chapter of the National Junior  Honor Society following a school-wide induction in December  in front of parents, staff, students, and guests. Induction was in the Auditorium and also observable via live-stream school-wide to the entire study body. The new members joined 49 current members who were inducted last year and have remained members in good standing. Conducting the school-wide ceremony were the four officers who were elected by the student membership: President Connor Sheehe; Vice-President Abbey Puffenbarger; Secretary Cameron Ramont; and Treasurer Braylon Campbell.

New members meeting high standards according to the pillars of NJHS of scholarship, service, leadership, and character were selected by a committee of faculty members following an extensive paperwork and verification process. Students inducted were: Anthony Beckman, Jacob Cage, Thea Carr, Elizabeth Cook, Wade Cunningham, Isaiah Davis, Reagan Debnath, Rylee Fetters, Tyler Grassi, Caylee Harris, Neriah Jordan, Salina Sills, Kourtney Bennet, Sophie Blank, Adilynn Cage, Ethan Chambers, Mason Cowan, Maxim D’Atri, April Fitzgerald, Mackenzie Friend, Anna Hampton, Sophie Hensel, Teague Hose,Camden Jeffreys, Ariah Kennard, Bronson Kennell, James Kesecker, Easton Kesner, Emma Logsdon, Bryson Louden, Madeleine Lough, Reagan McKay, Jacob Moore, Paeton Morgan, Veyha Omeis, Azure Ortiz, Owen Pearce, Levi Ramsey, Stella Shank, Annabella Shipley, Hannah Sowers, Ava Thomas, Michael Twigg, Cory Vizza, Sophia Wagner, Hailey Westfall, Gwendolyn Whitmyrer, Colton Williams, Adalyn Wolf, Ayanna Youngblood, and Trace Yutzy.

The NJHS Faculty Council at Braddock Middle School-Comprised of co-advisors Jaclyn Boor and Jordan Kenney, along with members Shawn Twigg, Barbara Highland, Julie Bonnett, Karissa Brandenburg, and Moriah Cohen - collectively represent a diverse range of academic departments.

Founded in 1929, the National Junior Honor Society operates in all 50 states and in schools around the globe. Its mission is to promote scholarship, instill a desire for service, encourage leadership, foster citizenship, and cultivate character in middle school students. The NJHS serves as a vital stepping stone for students preparing for the High School Chapter of the Honor Society.
