Allegany County Public Schools’ Superintendent, Mr. Jeff Blank, has announced the appointment of the new benefits coordinator. Ms. Angela Merrill assumed this role effective May 11, 2023.

Merrill, a native of Westernport, MD, earned her Bachelors of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration - Management, both from Frostburg State University. She currently lives in Westernport with her two daughters, Kirsten and Kalli.

Merrill is no stranger to the Allegany County Public School System, as she has previously held other positions, both in Human Resources and teaching over the years. “I’m very excited to be back with Allegany County Public Schools, and their Human Resources department.”
