On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Allegany College of Maryland hosted the 55^th Annual Tri-State College Night.  More than 40 colleges, universities, technical schools, and branches of the military were on hand to help more than 100 area high school students and parents make educated decisions about post-secondary plans.

Four high school students attending the event were the recipients of various scholarships totaling $2,200.  Korri Weasenforth and Jace Patton, both seniors at Allegany High School, were the winners of $750 scholarships. Korri’s scholarship is for Allegany College of Maryland, and Jace’s scholarship can be applied to the college or university of his choice. Joshua Warnick, a junior at Mountain Ridge High School, and Hannah Snyder, a junior at Allegany High School, were both the recipients of $350 scholarships to the college or university of their choice.        

All four scholarship recipients were selected by random drawing.  Each of the students has two years to redeem their scholarship winnings from the 2023 Tri-State College Night.
