Four students from the Mathcounts programs at Westmar and Mount Savage Middle Schools have qualified as semifinalists for the Mathcounts National Math Video Challenge.
Each year, National History Day frames students’ research within a historical theme. The theme for 2020-2021 is “Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.”

Allegany County Public Schools will pilot a one-year Cybersecurity Certificate through Allegany College of Maryland beginning next year in an effort to increase opportunities for seniors on an abbreviated schedule to participate in career and technology areas and earn college credits.
As a result of this order for outdoor and indoor capacity at athletic events, ACPS will provide two tickets to each participating student for both home and away events.
Staff will continue to review options to provide students with more in-person learning opportunities in the near future, and these options will be discussed further with the elected board at the March 9th school board meeting.
