ACPS encourages seniors and their families to create an FSA ID and complete the FAFSA, which opens October 1. The FAFSA can help students access federal, state, and college or workforce training grants, scholarships, and other financial aid. It isn't just for students pursuing a college degree; it can also support short-term training programs for high-skill, high-wage, or in-demand careers. Because some aid is first come, first served, families are encouraged to complete the FAFSA this fall.

To learn more, join Allegany County Public Schools and Frostburg State University for a Virtual FAFSA Night for parents and guardians. FSU representatives will share information and guidance to help families through the FAFSA process.

Parent Conference Day

Schools Closed

Elementary and secondary schools will hold parent-teacher conferences during the scheduled conference times. Elementary conferences will be held from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–3:30 p.m., while secondary conferences will be held from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 3:00–5:30 p.m. Teacher planning time is scheduled before the conference sessions.

ACPS reduced its four year dropout rate to 4.61% in 2025

ACPS achieved a 91% attendance rate in 2025
