Bradley Ditto Receives Computer Science Teacher Association Responsible AI Fellowship
CUMBERLAND, Md. — June 10, 2026 — Allegany County Public Schools is proud to announce that Bradley Ditto, a fourth-grade teacher at West Side Elementary School, has been selected as a 2026–27 Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) Responsible AI Fellow. He is one of only 15 teachers accepted into the 2026 fellowship program.
Ditto is an educator, AI education advocate and community leader who has worked extensively to help students and teachers understand the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education. In addition to his classroom work, he has developed AI curriculum for middle school summer programs, led AI and hardware camps through REACT (Robotics Engineering Allegany County Together), presented at the Future Ready Maryland: AI in Education Summit and created educator resources for OER Commons.
Ditto, an Allegany Museum Board Member, is passionate about using technology and AI to engage and connect students and community members with local history.
The CSTA Responsible AI Fellowship is a prestigious six-month leadership experience that empowers PreK–12 educators to develop ethical, inclusive and transformative approaches to AI education. The fellowship brings together educators from across the country to collaborate on responsible AI implementation, professional learning and student-centered innovation.
As part of the fellowship, Ditto will participate in professional learning experiences with national leaders in artificial intelligence education, attend in-person summits, collaborate with educators nationwide and develop projects that support responsible AI integration in schools and communities.
