Attendance Summer School (held at the comprehensive high schools)
Students who achieve a D or higher in their classes but have credits denied due to the attendance threshold if their absences fall within 20-35 unexcused absences. Absences that exceed 35 days must have rationale by the principal sent to the ACPS Chief Academic Officer for review and approval.
Each comprehensive high school will host a 15-day program.
Only those credits actually earned at the conclusion of the school year are eligible to be reinstated. If the student fulfills the 15-day requirement, those credits that were not ‘Fs’ will be reinstated. If a student earned an “F” as the final grade, that student needs to attend the Credit Recovery Summer School.
Students will complete work in major content areas.
