    Credit Recovery Summer School (held at the Center for Career and Technical Education)
     
     
    Eligibility
    Credit Recovery Summer School is for students who have failed courses (received an F). Students must have the principal’s approval. The final grade in ASPEN must be 50% in order for students to be eligible to attend Credit Recovery Summer School. 
     
    Attendance
    Student must attend scheduled days (20) of Credit Recovery Summer School to receive credit.
     
    Attendance and Credit Recovery
    ACPS students who have lost credits because of attendance and because of failing classes are also eligible for this summer school. These students must attend all twenty (20) days. Students must complete the assigned work earning a passing grade to recover lost credits. Students who refuse to complete assigned work will be dismissed from summer school, and credits will not be reinstated. Monies will not be refunded.  
     
    Discipline
    School policies and procedures will be followed. Students who do not follow ACPS and school rules will be dismissed, and no refund will be given.
     
    Courses
    Available courses will include only major courses (see application for specific courses) and will be offered through direct teacher instruction. Students can earn up to 2 credits. 
     
    Location
    This summer school will be held at the Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE) on McMullen Highway in Cresaptown, MD. 
     
    Notification
    Students will receive notification from their principal, AP, school counselor or PPW that they are eligible to attend this summer school. Once the student has been identified as being eligible, the application form may be completed and sent to the address listed on the application. The principal or assistant principal, parent and student must sign the application form.
     
    Cost 
    Students will not be admitted to the first class without full payment – no exceptions.
    • $100 for one course; reduced fee of $50 for students receiving free or reduced meals
    • $150 for two courses; reduced fee of $75 for students receiving free or reduced meals 
    Dates
    June 18-20, June 24-27, July 1-3, July 8-11, July 15-18, July 22-23 (20 days)
     
    Hours
    • Session 1: 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:00 -11:30 a.m.
    • Session 2: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
     
    Food and Transportation
    Light breakfast and lunch provided.  Transportation will not be provided. 
     
    Deadline for registering and paying is Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
