Tamarra graduated with her Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from Frostburg State University in 2008 and with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1981. She received her teaching certification in Business Education from Shippensburg State University in 1982. In 2002, Tamarra completed the Maryland Technology Academy at Towson University, and in 1992, she completed the MSDE teaching certification program in Computer Education. She teaches Computer Literacy, Web Design I and II, and Personal Finance at Allegany and serves as the Future Business Leaders of America Advisor. Tamarra is also the Business and Computer Education Department Chairperson and is a member of the school's SIT team. Since 2005, she has mentored and taken more than 150 students to the FBLA National Leadership Conferences throughout the U.S. In 2015, she was selected as the Maryland State Future Business Leaders of America Advisor of the Year. In 2009, she was honored by receiving acknowledgement from FSU for her mentorship of students being inducted into the University's Freshman Honor Society.
